Nate turned 2 1/2 last week, I can't believe how big he is! I haven't done an update in ages so here we go:
* He talks a lot - It isn't always in perfect sentences but he can get his point across with a large vocabulary and speaks in long multi-word phrases. It is remarkable how much he knows and understands now that he can more completely express it. His pronunciation is rather clear as well. He loves to say "oh man" and "silly goose" which I find hilarious. He also has picked up on silly things Jack says including a knock-knock joke.
* He is about 33lbs and I am guessing 37"...He is rapidly moving into 3T pants and is generally in 2T or 3T shirts. He is wearing 9.5 shoes.
* He naps from about 2 to 3:30-4:15 or so. He goes to bed at about 8ish but sometimes gives us a bit of hard time for about 20 minutes asking us to come up and read more or rub his back. He is generally only waking up at 5-6 (ugh) when he would like to get up but we can usually cajole him to sleep for a little longer. On occasion, he still wakes up 1 time at 1 or 3, but this is pretty rare at this point (finally).
* He really likes school. He is quite easy at drop-of and is so excited to show me what he has done when I pick him up.
* He loves trucks AND trains now. His current favorite books are: All Aboard ABC (magee), Peek-a-boo (ahlberg), Hide & Squeak (vogel fredrick) and the Richard Scarry books. He still likes Thomas and also loves a show called Mighty Machines.
* You can tell from the photo he still loves jumping (and climbing) and his pacifier.
* His eating is sort of sporadic - one day he eats a ton, another, no so much. Generally he eats a waffle in the morning, snacks on some pretzels and grapes, has some turkey slices and bread and soy cheese for lunch. We try to have "nate-safe" dinner as much as possible, but he isn't so good at trying new things. He likes chicken, turkey burgers, pasta, and most of all french fries! We are still working with a milk/wheat and egg allergy. He hasn't had nuts/shellfish or some other high-allergy foods yet.
