Thanks Patrick!

Last weekend Jack got a special surprise - some of my cousin Patrick's dinosaur figures! As you can see Jack is intrigued by them! Thanks Pat!

Uh-oh

He can now open nearly everything within his reach.

He also says "Uh" (just like you would say Uh-oh) when he drops something or trips.

Favorite Toys / Prediction Results

Right now Jack spends much of the day playing in the broom closet (really a huge cabinet) - pushing brooms, mops and banging the swiffer on the ground. He also likes to climb in and out of the cabinet...

Jack was 24lbs 8oz and 31.5 inches. My height guess was dead-on, but apparently our bathroom scale overestimates! He still has an enormous 90+ percentile head, even though his weight gain has tapered a lot. All checked out fine and the doctor seems to think he is a delight. One more reason we think she is a great doc.

Thunder, Rain

You can see Jack sign thunder (banging on thighs - you have to look quick) and then rain in the video--

15 Month Update

* He walks very fast - I dare say nearly runs. He also is much steadier all around - taking corners and can even walk backwards a bit.

* Had a growth spurt - he seems much heavier and taller in the last 10 days or so. I am guessing he is about 25 1/2 lbs and 31 1/2 inches. We will see next week at his 15 month check up. He is still wearing his 18-24 month clothes generally - with a few 12-18 stragglers and 2T leaders. His T-shirts, especially, tend to be 2T.

* He eats a lot more food in terms of quantity - same favorites - cheese, watermelon. Tomatoes, peas and corn are also huge hits. He isn't yet into sweets - can't get him to even try ice cream!

* He has learned the signs for drink and cat in the last week or so. Eat/more have been combined, but they get the point across.

* Still no officially words yet, but he does do "FFFFFUUUUUHH" for fan and a noise that sounds kind of like "whasthat" when he is inquiring about something. He does do Dada for Steve, but that has sort of evolved to be any person is dada.

* He loves to sit on little chairs, play with a sheet (lift it up, shake it, crawl under it, etc) and ride in his little car and on his trike - he could be pushed in those all day.

Oh boy, another park!

Well this one was a little different - it was a sculpture park! I didn't get a good pic of many of the sculptures, but we had a nice time with some other town residents walking around the Decordova Museum.

Jack & Mac (n cheese)

Boy does he love it!

Stacking Jack

Jack now (actually he has since just before our MI trip) stacks his blocks - but only the hard way! He will put as many as 4 end-to-end..

Pre-haircut - Frat Boy in Training?

We had a BBQ last weekend and Jack thoroughly enjoyed playing with the big blue plastic cups..

Haircut Results

Jack got his third haircut (yes third!) on Saturday. I finally found a local place (referred by a friend) and she was fabulous! Jack didn't even come close to crying and though confused a bit by what was happening, overall was happy during.

We had a nice weekend including a visit from our friends Seth and Erica today to watch the Patriots opening day!

You can see we spent some quality time enjoying the front porch.
