Follow the leader...

Grandma Anne was visiting the last few days to help me out while Steve was is in Spain for work. A wonderful time was had by all, though we all hope Anne didn't get a cold as a departing gift from Jack and me.

Ready for work

This was taken a few weeks ago in what was then our office. We have made great progress in emptying it to make way for baby #2. It is almost all empty save a new armoire (the room doesn't have a closet) and a few misc. odds / ends. It will serve as a guest room for grandmas in the next week as well. I think it will be nicer than the couch or the 3rd floor!

Baseball Fever

Jack has taken quite an interest in baseball.

About 3 weeks ago we were watching some baseball on TV and Jack picked up his light saber. He proceeded to hand me a ball and say "throw." He had decided that the saber made a nice facsimile of a bat and tried to swing it. He has progressed to wanting to pitch to me (we have acquired a fat plastic bat) outside regularly throughout the day.

hats, hats and more hats

Jack has a serious hat obsession. He really doesn't like to be without one of his baseball hats on. He even wears them to sleep at times... No idea where he gets this, Steve wears one at times, but certainly not daily.

Last weekend away...

We decided, quite last minute, to go to NH this weekend. We spent a day in Hanover, a morning in Quechee/Woodstock, VT and an afternoon in Keene visiting family. Jack reached his 10th? state (VT) and seemed to love all the stairs in Hanover. The big open green with a dog catching a Frisbee was also an attraction. Jack also got to learn all about rockets from Great Uncle Matt. He was interested in the picture of one we got to see on the computer. Jack was a bit upset there would be no curious little monkey named George inside. (His present favorite books and shows are about Curious George - both feature George in a rocket.)
