Check out my moves...
I think the latter looks a little like Elaine (Seinfeld reference for those not "in the know") -- he has his thumb up and back like she did.

Almost a big oops
Well, Jack fell in love with playing with our cordless phones. He loves the beeps and the lights and that they are easy to carry while walking. I didn't think much of it, because what are the odds he hits 911 and the "talk" button or the "call" button. Not good, right? I usually cleared the numbers every few minutes just to be sure he didn't all Zimbabwe or anything. Yesterday he had hit "922" then call! That is WAY too close for comfort.
So, that is the end of this toy...now to figure out where to put them where he can't see them or reach them AND the cords stay out of the way.

13 months (1 day) Update
This is a short one..
* We have a walker! Jack will now, voluntarily, walk from object to object in the house. He can't walk more than about 15 feet at a time, and usually less than that, but he is doing great. He is like a little pinball, just bouncing off furniture as he goes. He can not stand up from the ground on his own yet. I will try to get footage.
* He has 6 teeth..the top center 4 and the bottom center 2.
* He still loves his cheese, but almost as much he now loves blueberries. He also likes watermelon and a certain kind of cracker and a certain kind of Mac N cheese.
* He is still struggling with sippy cups, but does "get" them on occasion.
* He is down to one nap, around lunch time. Night sleep is still erratic.

Storytime
(also check out Jack's new porch chair - he surprisingly sits in it for more than 5 secodns)
Big Weekend!
Jack got to go to ANOTHER concert this week. This one was Friday evening in Lexington with an Arlington children's band. It was a lot of fun and you can see Jack was making lots of friends nearby.
We also had our first visit to the a zoo today. We went to the Stone Zoo, which is quite small, but perfect for kids under, say 10 or so. Jack's favorite exhibit was definitely the bears - they were very very easy to spot and very active. He also watched the jaguar a bit. I am sure we will be back fairly frequently as it is only about 20 minutes away.

Concert at the Library?
Well, actually it was in the back of the library which happens to be a lovely green space with a playground. Today they had an outdoor concert of Brazilian music geared towards kids. The musician explained different musical styles and also about the different instruments they play. Older kids got to help out and play the drums as well.
Jack enjoyed all the clapping and looking at all the other babies, toddlers and big kids.

When Blog Stars Meet...
As part of a 4th trip to CT, we finally got to meet Jack's blog-star peer, Chandler! Chandler is the son of a classmate of ours from college. His account of the meeting can be found here: Chandler's Blog
For some reason all the pics I have of them Jack appears to be chasing Chandler (or maybe Chandler is running away from Jack!).

New Faces
I am getting much much worse about taking pictures now that Jack is mobile. Luckily our cousin Nikki, even with 2 kids still can manage:) Last week we got to meet Jack's newest relative, Carolyn as well as visit with the rest of her family. He is being very good at sharing and offering her a prized position - pizza crust. Thanks to my Aunt Debbie for suggesting it, this is his new favorite thing. As he is teething constantly (see previous post) and hates nearly all conventional teething items, the crust is perfect.
