3 months old!
Nate is officially 3 months old!
Some facts:
* he is still remarkably well-behaved and sleeps great
* he loves to lie on his "gym" mat and grab at toys
* his neck/head is much much stronger - he is definitely a total head holder now - I even put him outward facing in the Bjorn the other day
* he is super tall - I would guess he has to be 26 inches by now - he is stretching the feet of his 6 month one-piece sleepers. I have taken out some of his 6-12 month clothes too!

Apple Picking and Train Rides!
We went apple picking and on a hayride at Hilltop Orchards in Richmond, MA during our trip to the Berkshires. We were lucky enough to be able to stay with our good friend Joe and his parents at their weekend house.
Nate was (coincidentally) all decked out in school gear for the (nationally televised?!) Penn/Dartmouth game. Joe's dad went to Penn so it was a game of interest for all. Despite his smile, Dartmouth lost. (This isn't all that surprising, their last good season was when we were sophomores!).
More trains (that is what he is signing/saying). He thoroughly enjoyed his first real train trip. We took a 45 minute trip on the Berkshire Scenic Railway.

Just because...
I can, here are some cute pics of Nate.
We have had a busy couple of weeks. Last Weds/Thurs/Fri we needed to be out of the house pretty much from wake-up to bedtime to avoid the painters. We used all no-VOC (non smelly) paint, so that wasn't a problem, but we didn't want to get in their way and slow them down at all.
Some random facts/updates
Nate has started to grab at things and can hold things if you put them in his hand. He has cooing conversations and giggles, especially if you subtly startle him. He likes being on the changing table and doesn't mind tummy time for about 5-10 minutes. As is the case with most babies, mirrors are very fascinating. He is so well behaved I wonder when he will get his revenge on us. He sleeps all night (from about 10:30-7, sometimes as long as 9!) and generally is just very happy.
Jack has had 2 full days at school now and seems to love it. He has no issues being dropped off at all so far (knock on wood). He is still in love with trucks (especially firetrucks) and sports. He always wants to be outside too. He is quite amazing at throwing things (people randomly comment on it when they see him at classes/ in the yard etc). He has started swim lessons and is ecstatic about them...which reminds me I better find a class for him when this 6 week session ends! He has also hit the "me, me" stage - he wants to do things himself and has decided ignoring us is hilarious. He is not as well-behaved as he used to be and has started to try to do things for attention. Things to work on (for all of us!)
