Colonial Jack
Another short note since I have to fold pretty much all of our clothes - being away (essentially) for 10 days does indeed create many loads of laundry, in case you were wondering.
We just got back from a long weekend in Williamsburg. We were lucky enough to attend the fabulous wedding (and related events) of our friends Erica and Seth. It was a touching and fun event filled with lots of laughs, dancing and love.
Since this is Jack's blog - this only contains pictures of him - not the wedding itself!

Happy Birthday Steve!!

Praha Jack
We are back from our grand adventure to Prague. Here are some pictures of Jack around town and in the hotel. Grandma (Anne) has some more of him - including a possible series of "Jack asleep at tourist attractions." Most of our pictures, for once, don't involve Jack, so these don't really tell the tale of our tour. It is a beautiful city with very well preserved architecture. However, the tourist areas were as packed and touristy as any I have ever experienced. Our weather was mediocre, but didn't slow us down.
I am a bit tired to do a full account of the trip, but once again Jack caused some confusion at the airport. He, in general, was quite the trooper and survived the flights quite well. He was far from the only baby/toddler on any of the flights and all had their good and bad moments.
Steve is still there, returning home from his conference/meetings tomorrow evening. He arrives just in time for our Saturday departure for Williamsburg for a wedding. This will finish out Jack's first year of travel (14 flights, 3 countries -counting our 8 hours of layover in Amsterdam -, 9 states).

11 Months (a day early)
This is pretty short as we have a lot going on right now!
~Jack is a fast crawler and a super cruiser - he can get around most of the room standing now. He even can walk just holding a flat wall as support as long as he has something to help him get up. We saw him try to stand on his own 2 times about a week ago, but not since.
~He pulls up to standing like a champ using chairs, couches, coffee tables etc.
~He has climbed up to the 2nd stair.
~His fourth tooth has pushed through and I think 5 and 6 are coming soon.
~He is back to regular morning and afternoon naps, but his schedule is all late - goes to bed at 8:30, gets up at 8:30 (we won't talk about the time in between). Sometimes his afternoon nap ends at 5:30! (Actually he has had a few nice sleeping stretches where he would only get up 1-2 times - then teething resumes).
~He says Mama a LOT and I think he may have an inkling of what it means.
